In one day you visit Menaggio and Bellagio, cross the lake by ferry from Cadenabbia to Bellagio, and stop for a long lunch at a typical local restaurant. Why Not Just Take the Bus and the Ferry?
You can try, and many visitors do. But around Lake Como the public buses are often full and their timetables make a two-village day hard to plan, and the public ferries can be crowded and infrequent. A missed bus or boat can cost hours of a day you only have once.
This tour solves exactly that. The route is fixed, the transport and ferry tickets are arranged, and the group never exceeds seven, so you spend the day in the villages instead of waiting for a seat.
The Route, Step by Step
- Como. You meet the Mercedes V-Class and your driver at a fixed point in Como.
- Menaggio. The road follows the western shore to Menaggio, where you have free time on the promenade and in the old town.
- Lunch. A typical local restaurant serves antipasti, a first course, water, two glasses of regional wine and coffee.
- Cadenabbia to Bellagio. The ferry crossing offers some of the best views of the lake.
- Bellagio. Free time among the stepped lanes, silk shops and the waterfront.
- Back to Como. The return drive follows the eastern shore.
Rain or Shine
The tour runs in the rain too. Lake Como is quiet and atmospheric under grey skies, and the Mercedes V-Class keeps you comfortable between stops. In the rare case that the weather makes the ferry crossing unsafe, we adapt the plan or offer another date or a full refund.
